📌“Asian alcohol flushing or alcohol intolerance” isn't just a funny side effect. For over 540 million East Asians including 49% of the Taiwanese, it's a sign of a genetic mutation in the ALDH2 gene that makes alcohol far more dangerous — multiplying the risk of digestive tract cancers and alcohol-related diseases. Alcohol intolerance has a wide range of implications from basic research, drug development to epidemiology, bioinformatics, disease prevention and social, public health education. This workshop will focus on the discussion of applying tools of Artificial Intelligences to Alcohol Intolerance for basic research and improvement of human health.
