This lunchtime lecture series blends innovation, expertise, and a relaxed atmosphere, offering an exploration of the latest applications and future advancements of artificial intelligence in digital medicine. While enjoying a delicious lunch, participants will gain cutting-edge insights into AI in medicine and engage in in-depth discussions with experts.
Speakers:
- Hsieh-Ting Lin ( Fellowship of Department of Hematology and Oncology, Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center )
Medicine has always been inherently agentic in nature: physicians observe, reason, act, and continuously iterate. Today, for the first time in history, artificial intelligence is beginning to exhibit the same capabilities. By 2026, we have already moved beyond the era of chatbots that simply answer questions, entering the age of autonomous AI agents. These systems can draft clinical notes, organize literature reviews, screen laboratory results, and even perform diagnostic reasoning without requiring step-by-step human prompts. However, “autonomy” does not mean the absence of oversight. The true breakthrough is not in replacing clinicians, but in designing systems where AI agents and physicians collaborate within tightly coupled feedback loops, each catching what the other may miss.
This lecture will explore the current state of this paradigm, its real-world applications, and the future directions of AI-assisted clinical practice.
We welcome all colleagues interested in AI and medical innovation to sign up and explore the limitless possibilities of smart medicine together!
